What this site is

My Calculator Stack is a collection of everyday calculators, tutorials, and formula sheets. Interactive tools run in your browser. We collect only what is needed to run accounts and keep the site working.

Account data

If you create an account, we store:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • A hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
  • Your saved favorites (which calculators you have starred)
  • Account creation timestamp

We use this data to sign you in, show your name, and keep your favorites list. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and session

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in while you browse, including a session cookie and an optional “remember me” cookie if you choose that option at login. These are required for accounts to work and are not used for advertising.

We may also store a local preference in your browser (for example, cookie consent) via localStorage; that preference stays on your device.

Advertising (future)

We may show advertisements in the future through Google AdSense or similar partners. If ads are enabled, those partners may set or read advertising cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Those cookies are controlled by the ad partners under their own policies. We will update this page when ads go live.

Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics services. If we add analytics later, we will describe what is collected and update this policy.

Client-side cryptography and encoding tools

Cryptography, encoding, and related educational math tools (for example hashing, HMAC, PBKDF2, AES-GCM, secure random, password generation, Base64/Hex/URL codecs, CRC-32, and toy RSA demos) run entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API and self-hosted scripts. Your messages, keys, passwords, plaintext, ciphertext, salts, and local files are not uploaded to our servers and are not sent to third parties for processing.

We do not store those tool inputs in localStorage, do not put them in URLs, and do not include them in analytics payloads. Results stay on your device unless you choose to copy or download them. These tools are for learning and interoperability checks; they are not a substitute for audited secret-management or password-storage software.

Web Crypto requires a secure context (HTTPS, or localhost during development). If your browser or origin cannot use Web Crypto, the tools will show an error instead of falling back to weaker randomness or remote processing.
